Bitcoin Bridge (by Garden Finance)

What is GardenFinance?

GardenFinance is a Bitcoin Bridge integration powered by Gardenfi that allows users to seamlessly transfer BTC-based assets between supported blockchains and Bitcoin. This function enables automated, secure cross-chain transfers directly within your K3 Labs workflows, eliminating the need for complex manual bridging processes.

With GardenFinance, you can automate Bitcoin transfers as part of larger workflows, such as moving funds based on market conditions, portfolio rebalancing, or executing conditional transfers triggered by smart contract events.

Supported Chains

GardenFinance supports transfers between the following blockchains:

EVM-Compatible Chains:

  • Ethereum Mainnet

  • Base Mainnet

  • Ethereum Sepolia Testnet

  • Base Sepolia Testnet

  • Arbitrum Mainnet

Bitcoin Networks:

  • Bitcoin Mainnet

  • Bitcoin Testnet

Transfer Directions:

  • EVM → Bitcoin: Transfer BTC-based tokens from EVM chains to Bitcoin

  • Bitcoin → EVM: Transfer Bitcoin to supported EVM chains (functionality may vary)

Note: Transfers from chains not listed above are not currently supported. Both mainnet and testnet environments are available for testing and production use.

Supported Tokens

GardenFinance currently supports the following BTC-based tokens:

  • cbBTC (Coinbase Wrapped Bitcoin)

  • wBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin)

  • iBTC (Interlay Bitcoin)

  • BTC (Native Bitcoin)

How It Works

Step 1: Configure Source and Destination

  1. Source Chain: Select one of the supported EVM chains or Bitcoin where your assets currently reside

  2. Destination Chain: Choose your target blockchain (Bitcoin mainnet/testnet or supported EVM chain)

  3. Token Selection: Pick the BTC-based token you want to transfer

Step 2: Set Transfer Amount

  • Minimum Transfer: Ensure your transfer amount meets the minimum requirement of 0.0005 BTC

  • Amount Validation: The function will automatically validate that your transfer amount meets all requirements

Step 3: Prepare Your Wallet

Before initiating the transfer, ensure your Cubist wallet has sufficient funds: Your Cubist wallet must contain enough native tokens (ETH, AVAX, etc.) to cover transaction fees on the source chain

Important: Insufficient gas in your Cubist wallet will cause the transfer to fail. Always check your gas balance before proceeding.

Step 4: Initiate the Transfer

Once configured and wallet is prepared, the GardenFinance function will:

  1. Lock Tokens: Secure your tokens in a smart contract on the source chain

  2. Cross-Chain Processing: Automatically manage the cross-chain transfer through Gardenfi's infrastructure

  3. Token Release: Release the equivalent assets on the destination chain to your specified recipient address

Step 5: Confirmation and Completion

  • Transfer Time: Most transfers complete within 5-10 minutes

  • Network Conditions: Actual completion time may vary based on network congestion

  • Transaction Tracking: Monitor transfer progress through the workflow execution logs

Key Requirements

  • Wallet Type: Cubist wallet integration required

  • Minimum Amount: 0.0005 BTC minimum transfer

  • Gas Requirements: Sufficient native tokens for transaction fees

  • Supported Networks: Limited to listed EVM chains and Bitcoin networks

  • Transfer Direction: Both EVM-to-Bitcoin and Bitcoin-to-EVM supported

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  1. Insufficient Gas Error

    • Ensure your Cubist wallet has enough native tokens (ETH, AVAX, etc.) for transaction fees

    • Check gas prices and add buffer for network congestion

  2. Transfer Below Minimum

    • Ensure transfer amount is at least 0.0005 BTC

    • Account for any fees that might reduce the final transfer amount

  3. Extended Transfer Times

    • Normal completion time is within 10 minutes

    • If transfer takes longer than 15 minutes, check network status

    • Contact Gardenfi support for assistance if needed

With GardenFinance, K3 Labs makes Bitcoin cross-chain transfers seamless and automated, enabling you to build sophisticated multi-chain strategies without the complexity of manual bridging.
